criar blog 630 Ways to Get Your Blog Posts ReadYou write a blog post with all zest and efforts and publish it on your blog. But after a few days you see only a mediocre amount of visits on your blog, which is obviously heartbreaking. In addition, it so happens that those who visit a blog often skim through the posts instead of reading them.

This is one harsh reality that a blogger has to deal with effectively in order to make his blog a successful one. There are certain points that can certainly boost the number of visits on your blog and make readers ‘actually’ read your posts.

#1: Headings, bullet points, and bold quotes help

It has been seen that people prefer to read text broken into small paragraphs instead of big ones. This is where the role of headings and sub-headings come.

Again, using bullet points break the content into smaller lines which readers find it more comfortable to read compared to those long and plain paragraphs.

Bold quotes are also said to catch the eye of the reader when he notices something different in the post than the rest of the text.

#2 Limit the post size to less than 1,500 words

The very fact that readers do not prefer to read long texts prove true here as well. Keeping the posts short as possible increase the chances of the visitor reading the post in full.

Thus, two 1,000 to 1,500-word posts are better than one 2,000-3,000 word post.

#3 Avoid using too many pictures

No doubt, pictures help in explaining your point in the best way possible. But as they say, “too many cooks spoil the broth”.

Presence of too many pictures in one post is said to distract its readability. Readers find it convenient to read a post with up to three images. After all, you write content for readers to read it, not stare at images.

#4 Converse with the reader

Using of words, like ‘I’ and ‘You’, tend to create a direct conversational link with the reader. That is where the difference between a blog post and an essay comes. You don’t write a blog to prove some facts, do you?

Conversational keywords would sooner or later also bring more comments to your blog than ever.

#5 Conclusion is must

Conclusion in a post can turn out to a savior for you. Conclusions work as synopsis of the post for those who don’t have time to read the complete text.

What it does is it makes the reader spend relatively more time on your blog and scroll down till the bottom to read this particular section. An interesting conclusion can also make him scroll up and read that appealing paragraph(s).

#6 Use bigger font size

This does not mean you increase the font size of your post to 15. Depending upon the font that you use, try to increase your font size by one and you shall be able to attract more readers to read the whole post.

A relatively bigger font size makes it convenient for people to read a post and the same increases the overall readability of your blog.

Conclusion

Mere great content does not always guarantee greater number of readers. However, applying certain tactics can.

You may not apply all tactics at once, but try to use some of them and you can straightaway see a boost in the number of visitors on your next post.
